Joe began working with stained glass in 1971. What started as a hobby became a way to earn a living as Joe joined the former Acton branch of the Clever Hand in 1989. He did a hundred craft fairs, was a member of the Christmas Store (now Sign of the Dove) seasonal co-operative, and became a visual art teacher for the Worcester Public Schools. Now he also teach at the college level part time.

Color and light control Joe's world, and he still enjoys creating in the medium of stained glass. Designing and then executing a new window panel or a new style box takes him away from the production side of the business of stained glass and keeps his work fresh and interesting to him and his customers. Special orders and commisions, created to customer specifications, are always welcomed..
