Liz
fell in love with traditional quilts after seeing an exhibit at
the Worcester Art Museum 35 years ago. Many of her quilts have
a traditional feel to them, but often there is a use of contemporary
color or a twist to a well known pattern. Liz is particularly fond
of scrap quilts, and never tire of exploring variations on this
theme.
Liz has done a good deal of custom work, and enjoys the challenge of producing
the quilt or wall hanging especially for a customer's special space. Her work
ranges from pot holders, table accessories, small to large wall hangings to bed
quilts of all sizes. She uses cotton fabric and polyester or polyester/cotton
blend batting. Most of her work is machine quilted, although she does some hand
quilting and embellishing. |
